Haas Automation, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Software Test Engineer 2 to join our engineering team. You will create test plans, write automated test scripts, perform firmware testing, and analyze software issues under supervision.
The role emphasizes hands-on testing, collaboration with programmers and engineers, and delivering reliable software releases. Strong scripting, SDLC knowledge, and experience with Windows/Linux environments are valued in this fast-paced machine tool environment.

The Software Test Engineer 2 is responsible for creating test plans, writing automated test scripts, firmware testing, researching software issues, and may include parameter maintenance and writing design documentation and requirements. This is done under supervision from the Software Engineering Supervisor.
Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the capability to deal with a variety of abstract and/or concrete variables. In addition, will need to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
