Haas Automation, Inc. in Oxnard, CA, will relocate to Henderson, NV in February 2027. The Laser Metrology Technician tests production Haas machines and manages data for ECCN classifications used in export compliance.
You will set up and operate Renishaw laser interferometers, analyze results, and maintain accurate ECCN data in the SAP system while coordinating with production teams to access machines as needed.

The Laser Metrology Technician is responsible for testing production Haas machines and managing the data that provides the basis for determining Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) codes for government export compliance.

One-year certificate from college or technical school is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-4 years
Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and safety rules; such as work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Must be able to effectively present information to the following: in a one‑on‑one setting or small group situations for our customers, clients, and/or other employees of the organization.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. May need to draw and interpret graphs.
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
