Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Logistics Specialist - Facilities to manage mail and package distribution across the campus. You will receive, inspect, and sort mail and parcels, log them in the tracking system, and follow established routes for delivery with required signatures.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling outgoing mail, and supporting logistics department projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• One year of office experience or mail/receiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and sort USPS and interoffice mail for the campus.
• Receive, inspect and sort packages via carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Verify recipients and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Document damage to mail/packages upon receipt.
• Log packages using the automated tracking system and ensure efficient delivery.
• Create delivery routes using the tracking system.
• Deliver mail/packages on established routes and obtain signatures as needed.
• Collect outgoing mail via established routes and process via metering systems.
• Assist customers at the service window and with USPS/FedEx forms.
• Support Central Logistics Services duties and projects as required.
