Job summary

42dot is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager in Sunnyvale, CA to oversee day-to-day operations, safety, and growth of our offices. You will lead new office build-outs and renovations, manage a network of vendors, and ensure facilities run safely and efficiently to support our mobility AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in facilities management, strong project and vendor management skills, and a proven track record in safety compliance and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in facilities management or related field.
• Experience leading office build-outs and renovations.
• Strong vendor sourcing, negotiation, and management skills.
• Experience developing or executing disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards (OSHA) and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facility operations across all office locations.
• Lead new office build-outs and construction projects from planning to completion, including scope, timeline, and budget.
• Oversee office renovations, coordinating with architects and contractors.
• Manage relationships with vendors (janitorial, maintenance, security, etc.).
• Develop and maintain disaster preparedness and business continuity plans.
• Ensure safety programs compliance and building code/regulatory adherence.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety).
• Manage facilities budget, expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Serve as main contact for landlords and property managers.
• Support space planning, seating allocations, and moves/reconfigurations.
• Respond to emergencies and employee requests promptly.
