Newmark is seeking a building operations/maintenance professional in Farmington Hills, MI to manage preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems.

You will respond to tenant work orders, supervise contractors, maintain logs, and provide monthly activity summaries. After-hours coverage and coordination with clients are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2–3 years building operations maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, generator systems and energy management systems.
• General computer knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; can handle multiple tasks and make decisions.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to after-hours emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive and necessary maintenance and repairs on building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security).
• Work independently and manage day-to-day duties; respond to tenant work orders.
• Supervise outside contractors and oversee tenant buildouts; coordinate with management and tenants.
• Maintain maintenance logs and records; use work order systems.
• Provide monthly narrative updates highlighting major projects and issues.
• Assist in snow/ice clearing and coordinate with snow contractors.
• Provide after-hours coverage and interface with clients and team.
