Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Operations Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems on-site. The role may oversee a single building and requires reliable transportation and after-hours availability.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and security systems; coordinating with contractors; maintaining logs; and ensuring safety of tenants, with a focus on rapid response to tenant requests.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CFC certified in high pressure discipline is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills are expected.
• Must hold any necessary licenses and complete safety classes as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building operating systems on site.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants and management for work orders.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records.
• Assist in snow and ice operations and ensure safety of tenants.
