Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Building Operations Engineer to maintain and operate the building systems across assigned properties. You will work with limited supervision, coordinate preventive maintenance, and respond to after-hour emergencies as needed.

Key responsibilities include organizing work orders, monitoring logs and meters, supporting budget development and RFPs, and ensuring safety procedures. This role requires at least seven years of building operations experience and valid licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 7 years building operations engineering experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• Holds necessary licenses and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating logs for HVAC, meters, and facilities.
• Organize work orders and supervise maintenance across properties.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and budgets.
• Assist in budget development and RFP processes.
• Order supplies and manage inventories.
• Record tool, equipment, and meter data accurately.
• Inspect engineering spaces weekly and report to Building Manager.
• Respond to tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure life safety systems and fire procedures are understood.
