Job summary

SanMar in Ashland, VA is seeking a Facilities worker to perform daily cleaning, restocking, and general maintenance. Shift runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Starting hourly rate is $18.67, with duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and discipline in line with safety standards. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months experience in related field.
• Ability to read, write and communicate with staff clearly.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of floor care and cleaning chemicals preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Must comply with PPE requirements.
• Able to read MSDS and locate MSDS books.
• Detail-oriented with quick attention to issues.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Must have regular and prompt attendance.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of building including trash removal, sweeping, mopping in restrooms and break room, and vacuuming offices/showroom.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break room as needed.
• Maintain a daily log of tasks assigned and completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
