Job summary

SanMar-Internal in Ashland, VA is seeking a Facilities I janitorial worker for the evening shift (2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). Duties include daily cleaning, sanitizing, trash removal, and restocking supplies for restrooms and break rooms.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least six months in a related field, and strong communication. MSDS familiarity and ability to follow directions are important. Safety PPE compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months experience in a related field.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate with staff.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of floor care, chemicals and PPE requirements.
• Understand MSDS and locations of MSDS books.
• Detail-oriented with proactive initiative.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of the building, including trash removal, sweeping and mopping in restrooms and break room, and vacuuming offices and showroom.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break room as needed.
• Maintain a daily log of tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
