Job summary

State of Wyoming seeks a skilled Buildings and Grounds Technician to maintain Armories and Field Maintenance Shops across multiple Wyoming sites, including Casper. Duties cover interior/exterior upkeep, locksmithing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds care.

Role involves coordinating with contractors, ordering parts, and supporting snow removal during winter. Requires a driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearance; travel up to 40% of the time.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of progressive work experience in Skilled Trades.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Federal Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior building maintenance on all components.
• Maintain and repair doors, locks, and security hardware.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with contractors and order parts as needed.
• Manage grounds maintenance including mowing and landscaping.
• Provide seasonal snow removal and work during emergencies.
• Log work orders and track equipment in the system.
• Travel up to 40% to various sites as required.
