Job summary

The State of Wyoming is seeking a Building and Grounds Assistant to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installations on state facilities and grounds. You will work with carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and other trades, assist on new construction projects, and manage warehouse duties including receiving and inventory.

This is a physical role requiring lifting up to 50 lbs, bending and twisting, and potential exposure to hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive work experience in Building and Grounds (or Associate's Degree with relevant experience)
• Knowledge of safety regulations and basic math
• Ability to drive and operate maintenance equipment

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on building facilities and grounds.
• Operates, repairs, and installs equipment and systems with carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and other trade skills.
• Assists with monitoring, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance needs.
• Receives, maintains, and inventories building and grounds supplies and equipment.
• Directs workflow of trades assistants and projects.
