Job summary

The State of Wyoming is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support Casper, Douglas, Gillette, and Sheridan facilities. Under minimal supervision, you will maintain large grounds and building spaces, perform preventative maintenance on vehicles, and update the work order system.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel 30% of the time within the state, and a willingness to respond to after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety regulations knowledge.
• Operation of light and heavy-duty equipment.
• Basic math, carpentry, and irrigation systems knowledge.
• Basic electrical and lawn care understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance such as snow removal, mowing, and landscaping.
• Maintain state facilities interiors and exteriors, including basic repairs and irrigation systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment; complete work orders.
• Travel within the state to Casper, Douglas, Gillette, Sheridan and other locations as needed.
