Job summary

Industrial Commission of Arizona seeks a Physical Plant Supervisor 1 to oversee maintenance, landscaping, and contractor performance at the Phoenix campus. You will supervise janitorial staff and coordinate with the Physical Plant Manager to keep grounds and facilities at high standards.

You will perform safety walks, coordinate with security and contractors, review JHAs and ensure projects stay within scope. Strong leadership and hands-on oversight are essential for this state facility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and costing.
• Knowledge of leadership and work evaluation.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and work order systems.
• Knowledge of construction principles and safety guidelines.
• Understanding of OSHA rules and safety codes.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and landscaping tasks on the building grounds.
• Supervise janitorial staff and manage supplies and timelines.
• Coordinate with the Physical Plant Manager and on-site staff.
• Conduct safety walks and review contractor safety programs and JHAs.
