Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry in Phoenix is seeking a Physical Plant Supervisor II to lead maintenance and inmate crew training while overseeing Central Office facility operations.

You will supervise inspections, preventative maintenance, and coordination with staff, vendors, and central office teams, ensuring safety and compliance in a correctional environment. A valid Arizona Driver License and TB testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and oversees maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting, and HVAC areas.
• Conducts basic preventative maintenance and prepares service reports.
• Directs and controls inmate work activities and trains inmates on procedures.
• Transports inmates to and from work sites and maintains key control and logging.
• Coordinates work requests with staff, vendors, and peers.
