Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Facilities Director in Surprise, AZ to oversee daily maintenance, safety, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pools/spas, and building systems. The role blends hands-on repairs with supervising maintenance staff and coordinating work orders.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance, 1–2 years in supervision, strong organizational and communication skills, and a valid Arizona driver's license. On-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance team activities (training, scheduling, performance).
• Conduct daily property inspections and identify maintenance needs related to systems, grounds, and amenities.
• Maintain exterior landscaping including lawn care and seasonal maintenance.
• Perform and oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Prioritize and complete work orders promptly and professionally.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and service logs.
• Monitor inventory and order maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors and oversee quality of work.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards and local codes.
• Perform daily pool/spa maintenance and water testing.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
• Attend committee meetings and support improvement projects.
