ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILIATION & REENTRY seeks a Physical Plant Supervisor I to lead inmate work crews and coordinate a wide range of maintenance and repair activities across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting, masonry, and HVAC. You will read blueprints, prepare cost estimates, and manage tools and preventive maintenance assignments to keep facilities safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of budgeting and cost estimation processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.
• Supervisory principles and techniques, including scheduling.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs inmate maintenance crews.
• Establishes preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Calculates cost estimates for maintenance/construction projects.
• Maintains records of tools, repairs, and maintenance.
• Performs maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and more.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Drives on State business.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
