Job summary

The City of Las Vegas is seeking a Facilities Field Supervisor to oversee crews performing remodeling and maintenance of city facilities, including custodial and contracted services. You will supervise daily activities, ensure contract compliance, review invoices and manage safety protocols across multiple trades.

Key responsibilities include coordinating services, inspecting work, evaluating performance, and scheduling preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in facility maintenance, construction, or remodeling with lead or supervisory duties.
• Equivalent to graduation from high school with specialized coursework in facilities maintenance or construction.
• OSHA-30 certification required within last five years where assigned (construction safety).

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises and reviews work of crews and contractors.
• Meet with staff to answer questions and provide direction on projects.
• Serve as first line supervisor, participate in hiring and evaluating performance.
• Implement department goals and approved policies.
• Establish service schedules and review needs with supervisory staff.
• Prepare and approve procurement invoices and time/materials docs.
• Oversee design, estimation, scheduling and contractor coordination of projects.
• Coordinate on-site personnel and contractors to ensure policy compliance and safety.
• Prepare project specifications, read blueprints and obtain permits as needed.
• Inspect facilities for repair, remodeling and maintenance needs.
• Administer facilities service contracts and liaise with contractors and purchasing.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
• Collect data and prepare activity reports.
