Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH, seeks a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead the Maintenance Engineering Group and supervise day-to-day operations.

Required: Bachelor's in engineering and 5 years of relevant experience; first shift, 40 hours weekly, salary range $88,300–$115,350.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant experience, valid Driver's License; contract management background
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, building systems, and life cycle costs
• Ability to read plans, interpret technical instructions, and manage maintenance programs

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and supervision for the Maintenance Engineering Group
• Troubleshoots building system operation for maintenance issues
• Maintains equipment histories for assigned areas
• Reviews plans and specifications for maintainability and life cycle costs
• Oversees the preventive maintenance program
• Recommends improvements to building systems based on data and best practices
