Job summary

CBRE is looking for a hands-on Building Engineer to maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC systems at a large commercial facility in California. You’ll support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections while ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience; CMMS and MS Office experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 4–5 years related experience preferred.
• CMMS and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems to meet safety, energy efficiency, and operations standards.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety policies.
• Assist preventive maintenance programs and respond to emergency repairs.
• Review building systems inspections to ensure alignment with design capabilities and client environmental targets.
• Mentor others and support CBRE RISE values in daily operations.
