Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair building systems—mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC—at a large commercial facility in Irvine. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections on site.

You will ensure compliance with safety codes, energy standards, and company directives while mentoring others and leading by cb x CBRE RISE values. The position offers room for growth within a global real estate services leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years in maintenance.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Align with codes, regs, and directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure systems operate efficiently.
