Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, and life-safety systems.

You will support preventive maintenance, ensure code compliance, and optimize energy use on-site in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or trade school, and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of job-related experience required.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other local/state licenses may be required.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, lighting, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems operate in accordance with applicable codes and safety guidelines.
• Maintain an energy management program and pursue preventive maintenance.
• Assist with emergency repairs and implement preventive maintenance to meet equipment life expectations.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for proper operation.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and offer innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
