Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer position involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety components. You will ensure equipment operates within design specs, support preventive maintenance, and keep work areas safe and compliant with regulations.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams within CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services group.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience (in lieu of diploma, experience+education).
• Universal CFC certification is preferred and licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation of building systems.
• Assist preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
