Job summary

CBRE is hiring a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical components. The role requires on-site work at multiple facilities, with a company vehicle for local travel.

You will support preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy management while collaborating with cross-functional teams and maintaining a clean, safe workplace. A valid driving record and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 2–3 years of job-related experience.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety and hazardous materials procedures.
• Review building systems to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and build consensus within CBRE.
• Impact customer and operational activities within and across teams.
• Follow broad guidelines and policies.
