Job summary

UG2 in Boston seeks a Building Engineer II to oversee safe, reliable operation and preventive maintenance of building systems. You will work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS/BMS, life-safety, and facilities services, troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years' experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Experience in facilities maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain HVAC, boilers, chillers, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and building-system malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to facility service requests.
• Coordinate with contractors and document work in CMMS.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper escalation of issues.
