Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a General Facility Maintenance professional for a large downtown Cleveland campus. The role covers basic maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems, with after-hours and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, completing work orders, maintaining inventory, and assisting engineers with more complex tasks while communicating effectively with vendors and security.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Facility Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, or related technical field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or HVAC systems.
• Demonstrated use of test instruments, multimeters, power tools, and hand tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, contractors & vendors on maintenance needs.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork in the CMMS/work order system.
• Support building engineers with more complex maintenance tasks.
• Report equipment issues and escalate when needed.
• Follow safety policies and regulations; respond to emergencies after hours and weekends.
