Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a general maintenance technician to provide maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls across Kroger stores. The role emphasizes respect, safety and the company’s core values.

You will travel to stores daily, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, manage parts inventory and document work promptly. A valid driver’s license and basic MS Office skills are required, with flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years’ proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores daily as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Assist in component replacement.
• Navigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation promptly.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Assist other skilled trade technicians as requested.
• Audit registered store equipment identification lists.
