Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a maintenance technician to provide general maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls across stores in the Glen Allen area. You will drive to stores daily, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and manage parts inventory while following safety policies.

Ideal candidates have extensive electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 35 years proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores daily to perform maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Assist in component replacement and repairs.
• Navigate and operate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain inventory of parts and document usage and repairs.
• Operate safety-certified equipment and company vehicles.
• Communicate with store personnel regarding equipment use and overtime.
• Complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and documentation promptly.
• Audit equipment lists and comply with policies.
