Job summary

Kroger Co. Novi, MI is seeking a Facility Engineering Technician to support electrical, refrigeration/HVAC and other trades across store facilities.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, repairs and daily service calls while learning career skills and upholding Kroger's values of safety, integrity and respect. You will drive to assigned stores, document work, stock parts, and help keep equipment and vehicles in good condition.

Qualifications

• Experience reading schematics.
• EPA Type 1 Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing preventive maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment.
• Develop skills for troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Assist in performing component replacement.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles and aerial lifts safely.
• Drive independently to stores as assigned.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation promptly.
• Follow department and company policies.
