Job summary

Kroger is seeking an entry-level Facility Engineering Maintenance Assistant at our Louisville, KY location. You will assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, inventory, and safe operation of equipment while learning core facilities skills.

The role requires Vocational training, EPA Type 1 Certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Vocational school education is required.
• EPA Type 1 Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures with respect to buildings and equipment.
• Develop skills for troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Assist in performing component replacement.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
• Drive independently to stores as assigned.
