Job summary

Kroger is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to provide general upkeep, repair and support at assigned stores in Louisville, KY on-site. You will drive to locations, perform preventive tasks, troubleshoot equipment, and train technicians while upholding Kroger’s values of respect, integrity and safety.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, using manufacturer interfaces, documenting repairs, and mentoring other technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-7 years’ proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.
• Training/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to building and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
• Orally communicate with store personnel regarding proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime.
• Complie and send documentation using company email system.
• Complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation timely.
• Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
• Provide input to supervisors regarding maintenance best practices.
• Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.
• Audit registered store equipment identification lists.
• Coach, mentor and train other technicians.
• Physical demands include standing/walking endurance, driving, lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, working in varying temperatures.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
