Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide general maintenance, repair, and support for assigned service calls at retail locations.

You will coach and train technicians, uphold core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety, and drive maintenance excellence across stores. The role requires independent travel to stores daily, hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years’ proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Training/supervisory experience helpful.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• EPA Type 2 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Drive to stores daily and perform preventive maintenance on building/equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely including aerial lifts.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchases and usage documentation promptly.
• Mentor and train other technicians as needed.
• Audit store equipment identification lists and ensure accuracy.
