Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, Vermont is seeking a Buildings Engineer to support the operation, reliability, and improvement of building facilities systems that enable semiconductor manufacturing. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• English language fluency (written & verbal).
• Travel up to 10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support replacement of facilities mechanical components and systems (mechanical equipment, Process Cooling Water systems, exhaust and HVAC).
• Support Building Technicians and preventive maintenance for reliability and continuity.
• Develop and implement capital improvement projects for building equipment (concepts, design support, scopes for bidding).
• Conduct periodic inspections of work in progress and guide contractors on plans and specs.
• Inspect facilities equipment and report condition, deficiencies, repairs, and costs.
• Analyze building system problems using standard engineering methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facilities projects.
