Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, Vermont seeks a Buildings Engineer to support operation, reliability, and improvement of building facilities systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will partner with technicians, contractors and cross-functional teams to maintain mechanical systems and ensure safe, reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ manufacturing engineering.
• GPA of 3.0+.
• English language proficiency required (written & verbal).
• Up to 10% travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support replacement of facilities mechanical components and systems (HVAC, cooling water, exhaust).
• Support preventive maintenance to promote equipment reliability and manufacturing continuity.
• Develop and implement capital improvement projects for building equipment and associated scopes of work.
• Inspect facilities equipment and provide reports on condition and costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facilities projects.
