Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Vermont seeks a motivated entry-level Facilities Engineer to support operation, maintenance, reliability and improvement of critical facility systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role is designed for an engineer starting their career and developing expertise in industrial utilities and construction project management.

You will work with operations, maintenance, manufacturing and construction teams to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an accredited engineering program.
• 1–2 years of engineering experience or construction project management.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe operation and reliability of facility utility systems and infrastructure.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and system performance issues.
• Monitor system performance, parameters, capacity utilization and reliability.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, reliability, sustainability and cost reduction.
• Assist in engineering studies, experiments and system optimization projects.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to standardize practices.
