Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT, seeks an entry-level Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve 200mm manufacturing processes. The role is part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization with focus on support, development and continuous improvement.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 3.0+ GPA, and English fluency, with up to 10% travel. The expected salary range is disclosed below and a commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
• Fluency in English (Written & Verbal).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to improve throughput, reduce costs and yield learning.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize equipment and processes.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting to resolve long-term performance issues.
• Collaborate with technicians and operators to support delivery and quality commitments.
• Work with technology development, integration, characterization and quality engineering to improve yield.
• Understand equipment and process issues to deliver on-time, high quality products.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods to complex systems.
