Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Building Engineer in Fremont, CA to maintain and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC. This on-site role supports preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections on a swing shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Flexibility to work swing shift and weekends.
• EPA/ CFC certification preferred; licenses may be required by local/state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Support preventive maintenance and inspections; respond to emergency repairs.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems to verify operation within design specs and client environmental requirements.
• Mentor others and lead by example in CBRE RISE values.
