The UCLA Facilities Management Trouble Call Center is looking for a dispatcher to support the campus by answering calls, sending out repair crews, and helping our campus run smoothly, 24/7/365. Join our team!

The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent verbal and written communication, calmness under pressure in emergencies, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures incl. word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
• Good verbal and written communication, active listening and time management.
• Interpersonal skills to guide other nonexempt personnel.
• Follow and convey detailed information in normal and emergency situations with composure.
• Maintain equanimity in conflict, gain trust and establish rapport.
• Adapt to changing workload, priorities and interruptions.
• Receive multiple instructions and prioritize assignments under pressure.
• Analyze information to define problems and identify implications.
• Able to read standard English text for manuals and logs.
• Knowledge of where to find organizational information (preferred).
• Knowledge of UCLA campus facilities (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of construction trades terminology (preferred).
