Job summary

Camp Olson YMCA is seeking a Facility Director to lead maintenance and improvements for its 1,350-acre Minnesota property. This full-time role reports to the CEO and ensures facilities support safe, high-quality programming for up to 200 resident campers per session.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in facility maintenance or related fields, strong carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills, and a proven ability to manage projects, budgets, staff, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility maintenance, construction, or related field.
• Strong hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, staff and contractors.
• Willingness to work long days, weekends and holidays.
• Age 21+ with a valid driver’s license; able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair and improvement of all buildings, grounds, trails, vehicles and equipment across 1,350 acres.
• Develop seasonal maintenance schedules and long-term capital plans; supervise maintenance staff and contractors.
• Manage facilities budget and ensure ACA accreditation standards are met; collaborate with program staff to support safe, high-quality programming.
