Job summary

YMCA Akron Rotary Camp seeks a qualified operations leader to handle day-to-day camp programs, hire and train seasonal staff, and supervise both resident and day camp activities.

You will coordinate year-round programs, facility rentals, and community partnerships. This on-site role requires living on camp premises and adherence to safety and health codes, all while prioritizing camper well-being.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in youth work, social services, outdoor recreation, or physical education plus management experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hiring, training, supervision and development of staff with camper-first focus.
• Develops and manages department budgets and ensures fiscal targets are met.
• Directs camper-centric programs and ensures quality experiences that align with Rotary Camp’s mission.
