Job summary

The Lake Superior YMCA is seeking a Senior Building Services Director to oversee maintenance and vehicle operations across multiple locations. You will lead maintenance staff, develop preventative plans, and ensure safety standards while aligning with the YMCA’s mission.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, CPR/First Aid, and 3+ years in maintenance, with strong leadership, budgetary skills, and experience with facility governance. Travel to Camp Tall Pines and other branches is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required or obtainable within 60 days.
• Certified Pool Operator certification or obtain within 60 days.
• Minimum 3 years in maintenance, housekeeping, or related field.
• Experience with cleaning/repair methods and reporting maintenance requests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance staff across multiple locations and ensure safety standards.
• Coordinate facility and vehicle maintenance, including preventative plans.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for facilities.
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures for maintenance plans.
• Work with contractors and review bids as needed.
• Travel to different YMCA facilities for support and supervision.
