Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant-related position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department and its programs.
• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed for all shifts/areas.
• Coordinate maintenance with Dietetics, Nursing, Activities, and other departments.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; ensure use of safety equipment.
• Review surveys and prepare corrective plans; report to Administrator.
• Oversee outside vendors and contracts; ensure work is completed.
• Maintain records, budgets, and cost reports for maintenance operations.
• Promote infection control measures and universal precautions in maintenance tasks.
