Job summary

Aperion Care in Bridgeview, IL seeks a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will lead preventive maintenance, supervise staff, and coordinate with administrators and vendors to keep facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained.

You will oversee budgeting, training, and safety programs, ensuring timely repairs and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory maintenance/plant role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance services with related departments; report to Administrator.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs and supervise safety and equipment use.
• Ensure compliance with MSDS labeling and safety procedures for hazardous materials.
• Inspect facilities and supervise outside vendors for repairs and services.
• Participate in facility surveys and corrective action plans.
• Manage budget planning, inventory, and asset control.
• Attend department head meetings and train staff as needed.
