Job summary

Be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Maintenance Department in a healthcare facility in the United States. Ensure the facility is maintained safely and according to all applicable standards and regulations, under the direction of the Administrator.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate with other departments, manage safety programs, inspect equipment, and work with vendors to keep the plant running smoothly and in compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years in a supervisory maintenance role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for assigned shifts.
• Develop and maintain maintenance policies and procedures.
• Direct the Maintenance Department and its programs and activities.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities).
• Ensure safety, fire protection, and training programs are implemented.
• Oversee supervision of external vendors and ensure contractual standards are met.
