Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College seeks a Physical Plant Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for all college facilities, safety, sustainability, and infrastructure at DSCC locations.

The role oversees maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental health, and workplace safety; develops budgets; manages projects with external partners; and reports to the VP for Information Technology and Facilities Management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent in a related field.
• 8–10 years of facilities, maintenance, or related operations experience with supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic planning, design, renovation, and operations of all college facilities.
• Lead maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental health, and workplace-safety activities.
• Develop and manage facility budgets, master plans, lifecycle replacements, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate with State/TBR on capital projects and contracts; oversee audits and compliance.
