The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in facilities management, including leadership of renovations, strong budgeting skills, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of facilities management experience, including 2+ years as a director.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and compliance.
• Experience managing renovations and coordinating architects/contractors.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, plus analytical thinking.
• Solid budgeting, cost control, and vendor management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance and facilities staff.
• Oversee building systems: electrical, mechanical, fire safety, plumbing.
• Develop and manage facilities budget and approve contracts.
• Mitigate risk by maintaining equipment and safety compliance.
• Coordinate major renovations with architects, contractors and vendors.
• Plan HVAC, electrical and space refurbishments.
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
• Plan and coordinate use of space with Program Director.
• Communicate with Executive Director, faculty and Board on goals and priorities.
