Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee in New York seeks a Facilities Manager to plan and oversee building maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with program managers and contractors, manage grounds, and ensure energy-efficient operations across all systems.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Preference given to candidates with engineering or facilities management background.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance or related field with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency including scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan building maintenance and operational programs.
• Ensure the efficiency of all building systems.
• Assist in preparing operating renewal reports and budgets.
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
• Ensure all processes and compliance programs are met.
• Coordinate with program managers and building contractors.
• Manage maintenance of grounds.
• conduct and document regular facility inspections of all mechanical and utility systems
