Position Title: FACILITIES PROJECT MANAGER

Reports To:

Salary: $121,500 - $155,000

Pay Grade: 14

Job Summary

The Facilities Director is responsible for the management of the utility and infrastructure portion of manufacturing projects. This includes management of vendors, building systems, construction, and utility infrastructure upgrades. This role focuses on overseeing large-scale utility/infrastructure and construction projects, such as roof replacements, manufacturing equipment moves/landings, and building upgrades. The Facilities Project Manager collaborates with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, according to specifications, and most importantly, projects are delivered safely.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate vendor activities needed for project executions, including vendor trades assigned to complete utility and infrastructure upgrades, equipment riggers, crane operators, and construction. Perform safety walkthroughs, assessments, develop safety mitigation actions, and complete contractor briefings prior to starting the work. Ensure vendor compliance with company policies.
  2. Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting and resolution of project-related issues, particularly HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and utility infrastructure malfunctions and urgent building repairs.
  3. Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee large-scale utility and infrastructure projects.
  4. Budget & Financial Oversight: Develop project budgets, track expenses, and manage vendor invoices, ensuring financial compliance.
  5. Purchasing and Orders: Use online/digital systems to facilitate the preparation and processing of project purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
  6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, vendor contracts, project milestones, and system performance metrics.
  7. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facility activities comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production operations, facilities team, and project engineers, to align facility upgrades with project needs and timelines.
  9. Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating vendor contracts, service agreements, and warranties to optimize service quality and cost savings.
Requirements

12-month contract

  1. * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  2. * Experience: 5+ years of experience in facilities management, vendor management, and project execution, including large-scale maintenance projects. 2+ years of PM experience.
  3. * Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility infrastructure. Experience managing large construction projects including environmental control rooms, dust collection systems, and automation is preferred.
  4. * Project Management: Experience managing projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and issue resolution.
  5. * Vendor Management: Proven experience managing service providers, contractors, and teams across different trades.
  6. * Budget Management: Ability to manage and track project budgets, including contract negotiations and cost control.
  7. * Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Projects, Excel, Power Point, and project management tools.
  8. * Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  9. * Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to quickly identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  10. * Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in managing project milestones, facility records, and vendor contracts.
