Job summary

Compass is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its National Workplace Operations & Facilities team in a 100% onsite role. You will manage a portfolio of construction, capital improvement, and facility maintenance projects across the national office footprint.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in similar roles, a related bachelor’s degree, strong budgeting skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams with internal stakeholders, consultants, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years managing commercial construction, workplace, or facilities projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Facilities Management.
• Experience handling multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong budget management and financial tracking experience.
• Proficiency with construction and project management software.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage office build-outs, relocations, and capital refresh projects from planning through completion.
• Develop project scopes, RFPs, bid packages, and procurement strategies per local market.
• Oversee external project managers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and tracking tools.
• Conduct due diligence to identify risks and constraints.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align schedules, budgets, and business needs.
• Ensure projects meet Compass design, quality, and brand standards.
• Support CapEx budgeting and forecast, track spending and reporting.
• Evaluate maintenance programs and ensure lease compliance.
• Travel as needed to support project execution (approx 30%).
