Job summary

The Salvation Army in Elgin, IL seeks a custodian to maintain a clean, safe building and support community programs at the Corps. You will perform custodial tasks in offices and chapel, set up rooms, and assist with grounds and fleet duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic experience in building maintenance or custodial work.

• Able to obtain TSA MVR check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties for offices and Chapel, including vacuuming and mopping.
• Attend to bathrooms, restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
• Set up classrooms and rooms for corps activities and weekly events.
• Outdoor grounds upkeep and light maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Drive Salvation Army vans for pickup/drop-off duties and perform routine vehicle care.
