Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain cleanliness of the building, support classrooms, and assist with daily operations. Responsibilities include custodial tasks, room set-ups for activities, and regular vehicle runs for pantry and donations.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, basic maintenance experience, a valid IL driver’s license, and a clean driving record. TSA MVR clearance and adherence to policies are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Basic maintenance experience.
• License: Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Background: TSA MVR check clearance.
• Agency policy: Adherence to all Army policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to keep the entire building clean and safe.
• Serve in seasonal grounds upkeep and room set-ups for meetings and activities.
• Attend to bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, restocking supplies.
• Drive Corps vans for pickups, donations, and deliveries; ensure vehicle maintenance.
